A Life Well-Lived:
Remembering Brenda Sharleen (Wolford) Sipp
On Monday, June 3, 2024, the world lost a radiant soul when Brenda Sharlene (Wolford) Sipp, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away at the age of 82. Born on January 26, 1942, in Dorena, Missouri, to the late Alton D. Wolford and Nina Mae Rettig Wolford, Brenda's life was a tapestry woven with love, faith, and an unwavering spirit. While her light now shines eternally, Brenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobbie Jake Sipp, two brothers, Melvin Wolford and Talmage Wolford, two sisters, Shirley Jean Wolford and Carolyn Joyce Grisso, as well as three grandsons. Though their absence leaves an indelible void, their memories undoubtedly lived on through Brenda's unwavering love and devotion to her family.
A Devoted Family Woman
Brenda's greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through her sons, Clayton (Deanna) Sipp of Festus, MO, and Randy (Jolee) Sipp of Conway Springs, KS. She is also survived by two brothers, Daniel (Tamara) Wolford of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Edward Wolford of East Prairie; two sisters, JoAnn (David) Jordon of Kevil, Kentucky and Joy Counts of Zephyrhills, Florida. Her warmth and guidance extended to her eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Brenda's love knew no bounds, and her family was her most cherished treasure.
A Life of Faith and Service
Brenda's faith was the cornerstone of her life. As a devoted member of the Friendship Assembly of God in Lemay, Missouri, she shared her beautiful voice, leading the congregation in worship with a passion that touched the hearts of all who heard her. Her unwavering belief in the Pentecost faith guided her steps and inspired those around her.
A Passion for Beauty and Nature
Brenda's talents extended beyond her spiritual gifts. A 1975 graduate of Brandt's Beauty School, she practiced as a beautician at Ultra Image in South County, MO, bringing joy and confidence to her clients with her skilled hands and warm personality. Her love for nature was evident in her spectacular garden, which was the envy of the neighborhood, with its vibrant array of flowers adorning her yard.
A Celebration of Life
While we mourn the loss of this remarkable woman, we also celebrate the indelible mark she left on the lives of those who knew her. Brenda's memory will be honored with a visitation and funeral service on June 12, 2024, at the John. L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home South County Chapel, followed by interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. A dinner will be held at the Friendship Assembly of God, where Brenda's spirit will undoubtedly be felt by all in attendance. Brenda Sharlene (Wolford) Sipp may have departed this earth, but her legacy of love, faith, and beauty will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory inspire us all to live life with the same passion, grace, and unwavering spirit that defined her remarkable journey.
