Billy “Bill” Young entered into rest on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the age of 93; dear husband of cherished wife the late Joan (nee Davis) Young; devoted father of Bradford (Diane) Davis Young and Brett (Julie) Davis Young; dear grandfather of Morgan Ashley (Justin) Popp, Chelsea (Amor) Abdihodzic-Young, and Braden Michael (Megan) Young; beloved great-grandfather of Wyatt Asher Popp, Nora Ashlee Popp, and Molly Naomi Young. He was preceded in death by his grandson, the late Blake Young. 

Bill was born on March 22, 1931, in Memphis Tennessee to his beloved parents the late Henry and the late Leta Young. While he was a dedicated project estimator for Ameren, Bill’s true passion lay in supporting sport’s teams. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Blues, Mizzou, and was a long-time season ticket holder for the St. Louis football Cardinals. In his quieter moments, he could be found reading a book or enjoying the serenity of fishing. 

The family has chosen to keep services private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the ASPCA in Bill’s honor.
