Billie Haggard

Billie O'Bryne Haggard went to be with Jesus December 10, 2012. Bill retired from Home Service Propane Gas Company at Barnhart, Missouri, and was a long time resident of the area. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Currier DE-700. Born November 3, 1929 in Naylor, Missouri, he is the son of William Montgomery Haggard and Cora Edith Lamb of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lila Haggard (nee Miles); two daughters: Brenda (Garry) Barnes of Imperial, and Terry (Don) Leath of St. Louis. Bill has six grandchildren, Christina (Brian) Martin of Arnold, Elesha (Tim) Allen of Fenton, Tori (Josh) Shelton of Fenton, Jordan (Erin) Leath of St. Louis, Mackenzie and Kaylin Leath of Fenton. In addition, there are eleven great grandchildren: Zachary and Briana Martin of Arnold, Kailey, Logan and Olivia Allen of Fenton, Miles, Lila, Ansley and Monroe Shelton of Fenton, Colten Firebaugh of Fenton and Silas Leath of St. Louis. Bill is also survived by three siblings: Beverly (Jake) Mason and Ronald Haggard of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Jerry Haggard of Bland, Missouri. He has a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS South County, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis (63129) with Reverends Darryl Rhodes and Virgil Sprock officiating. Burial will take place at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart following the services at the funeral home. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
