Barbara Christine Bentrup

It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Christine Bentrup (nee Diamond) announce her passing on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the age of 62.

She is survived by her husband David W. Bentrup; son Michael G. (Jamie) Diamond; Father Rudolph A. (Jeanne) Diamond, Mother the late Fronda L. (Richard) Lindhorst; sister Yolanda D. (Wouter) Van Kempen,, brothers Richard M. (Un Kyong) Lindhorst, and Vincent A. Diamond; cherished granddaughters Aubrey B. Diamond and Carson O. Diamond; nieces Ella C. Van Kempen, Claire E. Van Kempen, Jin Sol Lindhorst, Julie Lindhorst, and Elsa N. Diamond; nephew Vincent A. Diamond Jr. Barbara is preceded in death by her beloved Aunt Joy Desherlia and beloved Grandmother Bernadine Gravot.

A driven professional, Barbara’s career success was outweighed by her success as a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and sister.  Barbara loved the theatre and traveling with her husband and friends.  She was an avid reader and one of her favorite past times was shopping with her granddaughters.  Despite her busy work schedule, Barbara was always the one that could be counted on to plan events for the family.  Words cannot express how much Barbara will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road.  Services will be on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 10:00 am at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel.  Interment following services at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 10180 Gravois Avenue, Affton, MO.
