Arnold Theobald

T Theobald, Arnold L. died on Thursday, December 26, 2013 in God's loving arms at age 71. Beloved husband of Pat (nee Nash) for 45 years. Devoted Dad of Robert and Michael Theobald and Nancy (wife of Michael) Cheak. Very proud grandpa of Amber, Julia, Patrick and Andrew. Preceded in death by his mom, dad and son, Arnold L. Theobald, Jr. Dear brother of Opal Wedge. Dear brother-in-law of Sylvia Kalla and Charlie Nash. Dear nephew, uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle, cousin and friend to many. He served his country in the U. S. Army for 9 years. He did his VFW service in Vietnam. Arnold is a retiree from the St. Louis Police Dept. for 30 years starting his service in the 9th District and ending in the 3rd District. He was Past State Commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars 1984-1985. The next 30 years he worked tirelessly for his comrades at the Missouri Veterans' Home-St. Louis. As Chairman of the St. Louis Veterans Home Committee, he spent every minute of every day thinking how to make life better for his comrades in arms. He gave his all to achieve this goal. All donations will be put into the Perpetual Trust Fund to ensure that his comrades will be taken care of for a long time. Services: Visitation Monday 4 - 8 PM at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS, 7027 Gravois (63116). Funeral at the funeral home on Tuesday 10:30 AM followed by interment at J. B. National Cemetery with full military honors. December 30, 2013
