Campise, Anthony Joseph, Fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, November 10, 2015; beloved husband of the late LaVerne M. Campise (nee Hanlon); dear father of Anthony, Jim (Debbie), Pat (Dorothy), Joe and John Campise, Cathy (Paul) Bernhardt and the late Chris (Renie, survives) Campise; dear grandfather of Anthony, Vince (Jessica), Megan (Marc), Matt (Rachel), Tyler, David, Christine and the late Jimmy; dear great-grandfather of Gianna; dear uncle, cousin and friend. Tony was a Veteran of WWII and a member of the Meat Cutters Local 88 and worked for 43 years. Most everyone remembers his days at Bettendorf's/Schnuck's on the circle. Upon his retirement, he got a job at Busch Stadium stocking the suites. He also took a few classes at Florissant Valley Community College because you could never know too much, even though his children knew everything. Dad taught us that the most important things in life are family, to always be cheerful and embrace all God has given to us. And, you better get to the dinner table on time or else it could be gone because Mrs. C was such a terrific cook and the kids' friends would always show up at dinner time too. Dad showed us all how to live each day and took his last breath when he was ready to meet Our Lord and Savior. Services: Funeral Tuesday, 9:40 am from JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS South County, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. (63129) to Assumption Catholic Church, 4725 Mattis Rd. (63128) for 10:00 am Mass. Interment, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. VISITATION MONDAY 4-8 PM. Memorial donations may be made to: the Jimmy Campise Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o DeSmet Jesuit High School, 233 N. New Ballas Road, St. Louis, MO 63141.
